The whole truth of Father Amorth about Medjugorje

Father Amorth is today known by all as one of the greatest representatives of exorcism in Italy and in the world. Few, however, know that at the dawn of his career, Gabriele Amorth was a Marian expert, equally respected by the environment. As editor of the monthly magazine "Mother of God" he was one of the first to take an interest in what was happening in Medjugorje, going there personally.

From the outset, the phenomenon seemed noteworthy: he met five out of six visionaries, spoke widely with Father Tomislav and Father Slavko, questioned the locals, ascertained the effective extent of the healings, made friends more firmly than he he linked to the greatest Mariologist of the terrestrial globe, Renè Laurentin.

Over time he lost his relationship with the visionaries, except for Vicka, with whom they still feel today. Father Amorth's point of view on Medjugorje is simple: if a place becomes a center of aggregation and prayer, and is equipped to host pilgrims, it makes the decision of a commission superfluous about the truthfulness or otherwise of the apparitions.

The only concern of the local bishops must be "pray and make people pray". Father Amorth also notes that Medjugorje could be the natural continuation of Fatima, whose echo was dying out, forcing Our Lady to rekindle her message elsewhere, since humanity continues undaunted not to listen to you.
