A mute child starts talking. St. Anthony does a new miracle

During the trip to the United States, Father Poiana, rector of the Basilica of Saint Anthony in Padua, certainly could not have imagined what was about to happen to him: witnessing a miracle of Saint Anthony, of which he accompanied a relic in Springfield, Massachusetts . Obviously the miracle is still to be ascertained in the competent offices by a technical commission and by the ecclesiastical authorities, but the premises are valid, and the testimonies are credible.

A married couple deposits a prayer at the foot of the Statue of the Saint, in which they were asked to return the word to an 8-year-old mute child, the son of a couple of their friends. The following Monday the mother of the silent child meets her friend, and tells her in tears that her son had spoken: he had said "mom" to her.

The friend, stunned, tells in turn that she asked Sant'Antonio, and delving into what had happened, it was discovered that the times coincided: the child had spoken as soon as the prayer to Sant 'had been deposited in the church Antonio. Father Poiana recommends caution, and recalls that he has not yet spoken to the child's parents, since at the moment the facts have only been reported to him by the local parish priest. But the need to immediately communicate events on social networks betrays an understandable enthusiasm.
