A nun goes to Lourdes for obedience, she leaves, healed

Sister JOSÉPHINE MARIE. Coming out of obedience, she heals again ... Born ANNE JOURDAIN, on August 5, 1854 in Havre, residing in Goincourt (France). Disease: Pulmonary tuberculosis. Healed on August 21, 1890, at 36 years old. Miracle recognized on 10 October 1908 by Mons. Marie Jean Douais, bishop of Beauvais. Within the Jourdain family, tuberculosis wreaked havoc: Anne has lost two sisters and a brother. Sick for some time, in July 1890 she is now dying. For obedience she makes a pilgrimage to Lourdes, even if the trip is not recommended by her doctor. The journey, completed with the National Pilgrimage, is disturbed by illness. It arrives on August 20 and immediately dives into the water of Lourdes at the pools. Only the next day, August 21, after a second and third dive, he feels infinitely better. He immediately announces his recovery. The doctor who had opposed her departure, sees her a few days later, on her return to the community, and no longer detects any symptoms of the disease that has disappeared. Sister Joséphine Marie can then resume an active life within the community. His recovery will be recognized miraculous 18 years later.
