Man dies in church. Then he recovers after prayer

Jay died in the middle of a Thursday evening religious service at Trinity Fellowship Church while sitting next to his wife, Chonda.

"I looked at him and his gaze was fixed," recalled Chonda. "This is the only way I know how to describe it."

Church members immediately began praying for a miracle while the pastor asked for medical help.

"I just knelt in front of him and started praying," said Chonda. “This is the only thing I knew how to do. I was just begging the Lord not to take it. "

Jarett Warren, a doctor, was also on duty. And immediately he rushed to where Jay and Chonda were sitting when the pastor called for help.

"At that point, I looked at a Jay and knew it wasn't there," recalls Jarret. “There is no palpable pulse. He wasn't taking any breath, he wasn't breathing - he was dead. "

Jarret pulled Jay's limp body into the hallway so he could try to save him. But before he could even begin CPR, the Lord brought Jay back from the dead!

"Just take a deep breath and open your eyes," said Jarret.

Jay has been to several doctors and has done several tests, neither of which can explain what happened to him. And Jarret Warren knows he has nothing to do with Jay's miracle returning from the dead.

"It's a divine intervention," he said. “It was the Lord at work and I believe in it wholeheartedly. In fact, it's the only way to make it rational. "

While Jay says he has always been faithful, returning from the dead has given his faith a powerful recharge. He already knew that God performed miracles. But experiencing it firsthand was something else!

"I know it can bring people back from the dead but it brought me back from the dead," said Jay. "It just makes me jump off my socks."

But Jay is back with a question. Why hadn't he seen Heaven or something else when he was gone?

Jay went to God in prayer with this question and received an answer.

"He just told me I wasn't ready to see Heaven that way," Jay explained, "that I didn't want to go back even if it wasn't going to be my choice, but he had a lot of Heaven on Earth I left. I wouldn't have been able to live my life knowing I had left it behind. "
