Man dies and then wakes up: I'll tell you what's in the afterlife

Portrait of a man with an oxygen mask in a hospital bed

Tiziano Sierchio is a Roman truck driver who went into cardiac arrest for 45 minutes. 45 minutes is a very long time for a heart attack. Suffice it to say that hospital guidelines provide that, following a cardiac arrest, resuscitation is performed for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, death can be declared. Tiziano Sierchio, however, is "resurrected" after 45 minutes. Every day Titian made deliveries moving throughout Italy. He had just come from Pescara that morning, he was returning to the company he works for, to put down the truck, near Piazza Bologna. The man, however, realized that something was wrong and immediately alerted the rescue: “I am Titian, I am writing to you from Via XXI Aprile. I'm dying of cardiac arrest. " These are the words he spoke on the phone.

Tiziano was quickly taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital, but the doctors immediately realized that it was too late, a very rapid cardiac arrhythmia "kills" the man. "There was no beat, no blood pressure, no pulse" these are the words of the nurse Michela Delle Rose, who lived the story firsthand. But it is at this moment that the story takes on incredible features. Titian said he slipped into a celestial world: "The only thing I remember is that I started seeing the light and walking towards it". Then he continues: “It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and he seemed so happy. He took my arm and said to me: «It is not your time yet, you must not be here. You have to go back, there are things you still have to do »". But after 45 minutes the patient's heart started beating out of nowhere. "His brain has been without oxygen for 45 minutes, it's incredible that he can continue walking," said nurse Delle Rose. “We are faced with a unique case. We will study everything in detail. American colleagues will come to Rome tomorrow. This is resurrection, "said Dr. Sabino Lasala. Meanwhile, we are happy for Titian and wish him, beyond the miracle, a speedy recovery.
