Gospel of November 10 2018

Letter of Saint Paul the Apostle to the Philippians 4,10: 19-XNUMX.
Brethren, I have felt great joy in the Lord, because you have finally brought your feelings back to me: in reality you had them even before, but you did not have the opportunity.
I do not say this out of need, since I have learned to suffice myself on every occasion;
I learned to be poor and I learned to be rich; I started everything, in every way: to satiety and hunger, abundance and indigence.
I can do everything in the one who gives me strength.
However, you have done well to take part in my tribulation.
You, Philippians, know very well that at the beginning of the preaching of the Gospel, when I left Macedonia, no Church opened an account of giving or having with me, if not you alone;
and also to Thessalonica you sent me twice the necessary.
It is not, however, your gift that I seek, but the fruit that it redeems to your advantage.
Now I have the necessary and also the superfluous; I am full of your gifts received from Epaprodrodit, which are a scent of sweet smell, a sacrifice accepted and pleasing to God.
My God, in turn, will fill your every need according to his wealth with magnificence in Christ Jesus.

Salmi 112(111),1-2.5-6.8a.9.
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord
and finds great joy in his commandments.
His lineage will be powerful on earth,
the offspring of the righteous will be blessed.

Happy pitiful man who borrows,
administers his possessions with justice.
He will not waver forever:
the righteous will always be remembered.

His heart is sure, he is not afraid;
He gives largely to the poor,
his justice remains forever,
its power rises in glory.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 16,9-15.
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: «Make friends with dishonest wealth, so that when they fail, they will welcome you into eternal homes.
Who is faithful in the little, is also faithful in the much; and who is dishonest in the small, is dishonest even in the very.
So if you have not been faithful in dishonest wealth, who will entrust the real one to you?
And if you have not been faithful in the wealth of others, who will give you yours?
No servant can serve two masters: either he will hate the one and love the other or he will become attached to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon ».
The Pharisees, who were attached to money, listened to all these things and mocked him.
He said: "You hold yourselves righteous before men, but God knows your hearts: what is exalted among men is something detestable before God."
