Gospel of April 11 2020 with comment

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 28,1-10.
After Saturday, at dawn on the first day of the week, Maria di Màgdala and the other Maria went to visit the sepulcher.
And behold, there was a great earthquake: an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, approached, rolled the stone and sat down on it.
Her appearance was like lightning and her snow-white dress.
For the fear that the guards had of him trembled dazed.
But the angel said to the women: "Don't be afraid, you! I know you are looking for Jesus the crucifix.
It is not here. He is risen, as he said; come and see the place where it was laid.
Soon, go and tell his disciples: He has risen from the dead, and now he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see it. Here, I told you. "
Hurriedly abandoning the tomb, with great fear and joy, the women ran to give the announcement to her disciples.
And behold, Jesus came to meet them saying: "Salute to you." And they came and took his feet and worshiped him.
Then Jesus said to them: «Do not be afraid; go and announce to my brothers that they go to Galilee and there they will see me ».

The Tree of Life
He triumphed over death
At the dawn of the third day of the sacred rest of the Lord in the sepulcher (...) the power and Wisdom of God, Christ, defeated the author of death, triumphed over death itself, opened us access to eternity and rose from the dead with his divine power to show us the ways of life.

Then there was a strong earthquake, the Angel of the Lord, bleached white, swift as lightning, came down from heaven and showed himself affectionate with the good and severe with the bad. It also frightened the cruel soldiers and reassured the afflicted women to whom the risen Lord appeared first, because they deserved it for their strong love. He later appeared to Peter and the other disciples on the way to Emmaus, then to the apostles without Thomas. He offered Thomas to touch him, then he exclaimed: "My Lord and my God". He appeared to the disciples for forty days in different ways, eating and drinking with them.

He illuminated our faith with trials, increases our hope with promises to finally ignite our love with heavenly gifts.
