Gospel of 13 October 2018

Praying woman hands

Letter of St. Paul the Apostle to Galatians 3,22: 29-XNUMX.
Brethren, on the other hand, Scripture has locked everything under sin, so that believers would be given the promise by virtue of faith in Jesus Christ.
Before the faith came, however, we were locked up in the custody of the law, waiting for the faith to be revealed.
So the law is for us like a pedagogue who led us to Christ, so that we would be justified by faith.
But as soon as faith has arrived, we are no longer under a pedagogue.
In fact, all of you are children of God by faith in Christ Jesus,
for all of you who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
There is no longer a Jew or a Greek; there is no longer slave or free; there is no man or woman anymore, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
And if you belong to Christ, then you are descendants of Abraham, heirs according to the promise.

Salmi 105(104),2-3.4-5.6-7.
Sing to him sing of joy,
meditate on all his wonders.
Glory out of his holy name:
the heart of those who seek the Lord rejoice.

Seek the Lord and his power,
always seek his face.
Remember the wonders it has accomplished,
his wonders and the judgments of his mouth;

You descendant of Abraham, his servant,
sons of Jacob, his chosen one.
He is the Lord, our God,
on all the earth its judgments.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 11,27-28.
At that time, while Jesus was speaking, a woman raised her voice from the crowd and said: "Blessed is the belly that brought you and the breast from which you took the milk!".
But he said: "Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"
