Gospel of 16 October 2018

Letter of St. Paul the Apostle to Galatians 5,1: 6-XNUMX.
Brothers, Christ has freed us so that we remain free; therefore stand firm and do not allow yourself to be forced into slavery again.
Behold, I Paul say to you: if you are circumcised, Christ will not help you.
And once again I declare to anyone who is circumcised that he is obliged to observe all the law.
You no longer have anything to do with Christ you who seek justification in the law; you have fallen from grace.
In fact, by virtue of the Spirit, we await the justification we hope for by faith.
For in Christ Jesus it is not circumcision that counts or uncircumcision, but faith that works through charity.

Psalms 119 (118), 41.43.44.45.47.48.
Your grace, Lord, come to me,
your salvation according to your promise.
Never take the real word out of my mouth,
because I trust in your judgments.

I will keep your law forever,
over the centuries, forever.
I will be sure on my way,
because I have researched your wishes.

I will rejoice in your commands
that I loved.
I will raise my hands to your precepts that I love,
I will meditate on your laws.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 11,37-41.
At that time, after Jesus had finished speaking, a Pharisee invited him to lunch. He came in and sat down to the table.
The Pharisee marveled that he had not made the ablutions before lunch.
Then the Lord said to him, "You Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and plate, but your inside is full of robbery and iniquity.
You fools! Did not he who made the exterior do the interior?
Rather give in alms what's inside, and behold, everything will be world for you. "
