Gospel of November 20 2018

Revelation 3,1-6.14-22.
I, John, heard the Lord saying to me:
«To the angel of the Church of Sardis write:
Thus speaks He who possesses the seven spirits of God and the seven stars: I know your works; you are believed alive and instead you are dead.
Wake up and reinvigorate what remains and is about to die, because I have not found your perfect works before my God.
So remember how you accepted the word, observe it and repent, because if you are not vigilant, I will come as a thief without you knowing at what time I will come to you.
However, in Sardis there are some who have not stained their clothes; they will escort me in white robes, because they are worthy of it.
The winner will therefore be dressed in white robes, I will not erase his name from the book of life, but I will recognize him before my Father and before his angels.
Who has ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the Churches.
To the angel of the Church of Laodicèa write: Thus speaks Amen, the faithful and truthful Witness, the Principle of God's creation:
I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Maybe you were cold or hot!
But since you are lukewarm, that is, you are neither cold nor hot, I am going to vomit you out of my mouth.
You say: “I am rich, I am enriched; I don't need anything, "but you don't know you are an unhappy, a miserable, a poor, blind and naked man.
I advise you to buy from me gold purified by the fire to become rich, white robes to cover you and hide your shameful nakedness and eye drops to anoint your eyes and recover your sight.
I reproach and punish everyone I love. So show yourself zealous and repent.
Here, I'm at the door and knock. If anyone listens to my voice and opens the door for me, I will come to him, have dinner with him and he with me.
I will make the winner sit with me, on my throne, as I have won and I have sat down with my Father on his throne.
Who has ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the Churches ».

Salmi 15(14),2.3ab.3c-4ab.5.
Lord, who lives in your tent?
Who will dwell on your holy mountain?
He who walks without guilt,
acts with justice and speaks loyally,

He who does not say slander with his tongue.
It does no harm to your neighbor
and does not insult his neighbor.
In his eyes the wicked is despicable,
but honor those who fear the Lord.

Who lends money without usury,
and does not accept gifts against the innocent.
He who acts in this way
will remain firm forever.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 19,1-10.
At that time, Jesus entered Jericho, crossed the city.
And here's a man named Zacchaeus, chief tax collector and rich man,
he tried to see who Jesus was, but he couldn't because of the crowd, because he was small in stature.
Then he ran ahead and, in order to be able to see him, he climbed on a sycamore tree, since he had to pass there.
When he reached the place, Jesus looked up and said to him: "Zacchaeus, come down immediately, because today I have to stop at your house".
He hurried down and greeted him full of joy.
Seeing this, everyone murmured: "He went to stay with a sinner!"
But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Behold, Lord, I am giving half of my goods to the poor; and if I have defrauded someone, I will pay back four times as much. "
Jesus answered him: «Today salvation has entered this house, because he too is the son of Abraham;
in fact the Son of man came to seek and save what was lost ».
