Gospel of January 30, 2019

Letter to the Hebrews 10,11-18.
Brothers, every priest presents himself day by day to celebrate the worship and to offer many times the same sacrifices that can never eliminate sins.
On the contrary, having offered a single sacrifice for sins once and for all, seated himself on the right hand of God,
just waiting for his enemies to be placed under his feet.
For with a single oblation he has made those who are sanctified perfect forever.
This is also attested to by the Holy Spirit. In fact, after saying:
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will place my laws in their hearts and imprint them in their mind,
he says: And I will no longer remember their sins and their iniquities.
Now, where there is forgiveness for these things, there is no longer a need for sin offering.

Psalms 110 (109), 1.2.3.4.
Oracle of the Lord to my Lord:
"Sit on my right,
as long as I lay your enemies
to stool of your feet ».

The scepter of your power
stretches out the Lord from Zion:
«Dominate among your enemies.

To you the principality on the day of your power
between holy splendors;
from the breast of the dawn,
like dew, I begot you. »

The Lord has sworn
and do not regret:
«You are a priest forever
in the manner of Melchizedek ».

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 4,1-20.
At that time, Jesus began teaching again along the sea. And an enormous crowd gathered around him, so much so that he got into a boat and sat there, staying at sea, while the crowd was ashore along the shore.
He taught them many things in parables and told them in his teaching:
"Listen. Behold, the sower went out to sow.
While sowing, part fell on the road and the birds came and devoured it.
Another fell among the stones, where there was not much earth, and immediately arose because there was no deep ground;
but when the sun rose, it was burnt and, having no root, it dried up.
Another fell between the thorns; the thorns grew, suffocated it and did not bear fruit.
And another fell on the good earth, bore fruit that came up and grew, and yielded now thirty, now sixty and now one hundred for one. "
And he said: "Whoever has ears to understand means!"
When he was alone, his associates with the Twelve questioned him on the parables. And he said to them:
«The mystery of the kingdom of God has been confided to you; to those outside instead everything is exposed in parables,
because: they look, but they do not see, they listen, but they do not intend, because they do not convert and be forgiven them ».
He went on to say to them, "If you don't understand this parable, how can you understand all the other parables?
The sower sows the word.
Those along the way are those in whom the word is sown; but when they listen to it, immediately it comes satan, and takes away the word sown in them.
Similarly those who receive the seed on the stones are those who, when they listen to the word, immediately welcome it with joy,
but they have no root in themselves, they are inconstant and therefore, upon the arrival of some tribulation or persecution because of the word, they immediately break down.
Others are those who receive the seed among the thorns: they are those who have listened to the word,
but the worries of the world arise and the deception of wealth and all the other longings, suffocate the word and this remains without fruit.
Those who receive the seed on good ground are those who listen to the word, welcome it and bear fruit to the extent of those in their thirties, some in their sixties, some in one hundred. "
