Gospel of 4 March 2019

Book of the Ecclesiastical 17,20-28.
Return to the Lord and stop sinning, pray before him and stop offending.
Return to the Most High and turn your back on injustice; detests iniquity entirely.
In fact, in the underworld who will praise the Most High, instead of the living and those who praise him?
From a dead person, who is no longer, gratitude is lost, those who are alive and healthy praise the Lord.
How great is the Lord's mercy, his forgiveness for those who convert to him!
Man cannot have everything, since a son of man is not immortal.
What's brighter than the sun? It too disappears. So flesh and blood think of evil.
It guards the ranks of the high sky, but men are all earth and ash.

Psalms 32 (31), 1-2.5.6.7.
Blessed is the man who is to blame,
and forgiven sin.
Blessed is the man to whom God does not impute any evil
and in whose spirit there is no deception.

I have manifested my sin to you,
I have not kept my mistake hidden.
I said, "I'll confess my sins to the Lord"
and you have put away the malice of my sin.

This is why every faithful one prays to you
in the time of anguish.
When great waters break through
they will not be able to reach it.

You are my refuge, protect me from danger,
surround me with exultation for salvation.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 10,17-27.
At that time, while Jesus was leaving to go on a journey, a man ran to meet him and, throwing himself on his knees before him, asked him: "Good Master, what must I do to have eternal life?".
Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, if not God alone.
You know the commandments: Don't kill, don't commit adultery, don't steal, don't tell false testimony, don't defraud, honor your father and mother ».
He then said to him, "Master, I have observed all these things since my youth."
Then Jesus, staring at him, loved him and said to him: «One thing is missing: go, sell what you have and give it to the poor and you will have a treasure in heaven; then come and follow me ».
But he, saddened by those words, went away afflicted, because he had many goods.
Jesus, looking around, said to his disciples: "How hard those who have riches will enter the kingdom of God!".
The disciples were amazed at his words; but Jesus continued: «Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God!
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. "
Even more appalled, they said to each other: "And who can ever be saved?"
But Jesus, looking at them, said: «Impossible among men, but not with God! Because everything is possible with God ».
