Gospel of February 7 2019

Letter to the Hebrews 12,18-19.21-24.
Brothers, you have not approached a tangible place and a burning fire, nor darkness, darkness and storm,
nor by the blast of trumpets and the sound of words, while those who heard him implored that God would no longer speak to them;
The sight, in fact, was so terrifying that Moses said: I am afraid and I tremble.
You have instead approached Mount Zion and the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem and myriads of angels, the festive gathering
and to the assembly of the firstborn enrolled in heaven, to God the judge of all and to the spirits of the righteous brought to perfection,
to the Mediator of the New Covenant.

Salmi 48(47),2-3a.3b-4.9.10-11.
Great is the Lord and worthy of all praise
in the city of our God.
Its holy mountain, a splendid hill,
it is the joy of the whole earth.

God in his bulwarks
an impregnable fortress has appeared.
As we had heard, so we have seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God; God founded it forever.
Let us remember, God, your mercy

inside your temple.
Like your name, O God,
so your praise
extends to the ends of the earth;

your right hand is full of justice.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 6,7-13.
At that time Jesus called the Twelve, and began to send them two by two and gave them power over unclean spirits.
And he ordered them that, in addition to the stick, they would not take anything for the trip: neither bread, nor saddlebag, nor money in the bag;
but, wearing only sandals, they did not wear two tunics.
And he said to them, "Entering a house, stay until you leave that place.
If somewhere they will not receive you and not listen to you, go away, shake the dust under your feet, as a testimony for them. "
And gone, they preached that people were converted,
they chased away many demons, anointed many sick with oil and healed them.
