Gospel of February 9 2019

Letter to the Hebrews 13,15-17.20-21.
Brothers, through him therefore we continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.
Do not forget about charity and to be part of your goods to others, because the Lord is pleased with these sacrifices.
Obey your leaders and be submissive to them, because they watch over you, as those who have to account for it; obey, because they do this with joy and not moaning: this would not be beneficial for you.
The God of peace who brought the great Shepherd of the sheep back from the dead, by virtue of the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus,
make you perfect in every good, so that you can do his will, working in you what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ, to whom glory is forever and ever. Amen.

Salmi 23(22),1-3a.3b-4.5.6.
The Lord is my Shepherd:
I lack nothing.
On grassy pastures it makes me rest
to calm waters it leads me.
Reassures me, guides me on the right path,
for the love of his name.

If I had to walk in a dark valley,
I wouldn't fear any harm, because you are with me.
Your staff is your bond
they give me security.

In front of me you prepare a canteen
under the eyes of my enemies;
sprinkle my head with oil.
My cup overflows.

Happiness and grace will be my companions
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
for very long years.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 6,30-34.
At that time, the apostles gathered around Jesus and told him everything they had done and taught.
And he said to them, "Come aside, to a lonely place, and take some rest." In fact, the crowd came and went and they no longer even had time to eat.
Then they left on the boat to a lonely place, on the sidelines.
But many saw them leave and understood, and from all the cities they began to rush there on foot and preceded them.
When he disembarked, he saw a large crowd and was moved by them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.
