Gospel of November 9 2018

Book of Ezekiel 47,1-2.8-9.12.
In those days, the angel led me to the entrance of the temple and I saw that below the threshold of the temple water was pouring out to the east, since the facade of the temple was facing east. That water came down under the right side of the temple, from the southern part of the altar.
He led me out of the north door and made me turn outside to the east door facing east, and I saw that the water came from the right side.
He said to me: “These waters come out again in the eastern region, go down to Araba and enter the sea: they come into the sea, they restore their waters.
Every living thing that moves wherever the river arrives will live: the fish will be abundant, because those waters where they reach, heal and where the stream reaches everything will live again.
Along the river, on one bank and on the other, all sorts of fruit trees will grow, the branches of which will not wither: their fruits will not cease and will ripen every month, because their waters flow from the sanctuary. Their fruits will serve as food and the leaves as medicine. "

Salmi 46(45),2-3.5-6.8-9.
God is refuge and strength for us,
I always help close in anguish.
So let's not be afraid if the earth trembles,
if the mountains collapse at the bottom of the sea.

A river and its streams brighten the city of God,
the holy abode of the Most High.
God is in it: he cannot waver;
God will help her before the morning.

The Lord of hosts is with us,
our refuge is the God of Jacob.
Come, see the works of the Lord,
he made portents on earth.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to John 2,13: 22-XNUMX.
Meanwhile, the Passover of the Jews was approaching and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
He found in the temple people who sold oxen, sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at the counter.
Then made a lash of strings, he drove all out of the temple with the sheep and oxen; he threw down the money of the money changers and overturned the banks,
and to the sellers of doves he said: "Take these things away and do not make my Father's house a market place."
The disciples remembered that it is written: The zeal for your house devours me.
Then the Jews took the floor and said to him, "What sign do you show us to do these things?"
Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up."
The Jews then said to him, "This temple was built in forty-six years and will you raise it up in three days?"
But he spoke of the temple of his body.
When he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and believed in the Scripture and the word spoken by Jesus.
