Gospel of March 10, 2021

Gospel of March 10, 2021: for this reason the Lord repeats what he was in the Old Testament: what is the greatest Commandment? Love God with all your heart, with all your strength, with all your soul, and your neighbor as yourself. And in the explanation of the Doctors of the Law this was not so much at the center. Cases were at the center: but can this be done? To what extent can this be done? And if it is not possible? ... Casuistry proper to the Law. And Jesus takes this and takes up the true meaning of the Law to bring it to its fullness (Pope Francis, Santa Marta, 14 June 2016)

From the book of Deuteronòmio Dt 4,1.5-9 Moses spoke to the people and said: "Now, Israel, listen to the laws and norms that I teach you, so that you will put them into practice, so that you may live and take possession of the land that the Lord, God of your fathers, is going to give you. You see, I have taught you laws and standards as the Lord, my God, has commanded me, for you to put them into practice in the land you are about to enter to take possession of.

The word of the Lord of March 10, Gospel of March 10, 2021

You will therefore observe them, and put them into practice, because that will be your wisdom and your intelligence in the eyes of the peoples, who, hearing about all these laws, will say: "This great nation is the only wise and intelligent people." Indeed what great nation has the gods so close to it, such as the Lord, our God, is he close to us every time we invoke him? And what great nation has laws and rules just like all this legislation that I give you today? But pay attention to you and be careful not to forget the things that your eyes have seen, do not escape your heart for all the time of your life: you will also teach them to your children and to your children's children ».

From the Gospel according to Matthew Mt 5,17-19 At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: «Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish, but to give full fulfillment. Truly I tell you: until heaven and earth have passed away, not a single iota or a single dash of the Law will pass, without everything having happened. Therefore, whoever breaks one of these least precepts and teaches others to do the same will be considered least in the kingdom of heaven. On the other hand, whoever observes them and teaches them will be considered great in the kingdom of heaven. "
