Gospel of March 20, 2021

Gospel of the day March 20, 2021: Jesus he preaches with his own authority, like someone who has a doctrine he draws for himself, and not like scribes who repeated previous traditions and laws handed down. They were like that: just words. Instead in Jesus, the word has authority, Jesus is authoritative.

And this touches the heart. The teaching he has the same authority of Jesus as God who speaks; in fact, with a single command he easily frees the possessed from the evil one and heals him. Why? His word does what he says. Because He is the ultimate prophet. Do we listen to the words of Jesus which are authoritative? Always, don't forget, carry a small one in your pocket or purse Gospel, to read it during the day, to listen to that authoritative word of Jesus. Angelus - Sunday, January 31, 2021

today's gospel

From the book of the prophet Geremìa Jer 11,18-20 The Lord has manifested it to me and I have known it; showed me their intrigues. And I, like a meek lamb that is brought to the slaughter, did not know that they were plotting against me, and they said: “Let us cut down the tree in its full vigor, let us tear it from the land of the living; no one remembers his name anymore. ' Sir armies, just judge,
that you feel your heart and mind,
may I see your revenge on them,
for I have entrusted my cause to you.

Gospel of the day March 20, 2021: according to John

From the Gospel according to John Jn 7,40-53 At that time, hearing the words of Jesus, some of the people said: "This is truly the prophet!". Others said: "This is the Christ!" Others, on the other hand, said: "Does Christ come from Galilee?" Does not the Scripture say: "From the descendants of David and from Bethlehem, the village of David, the Christ will come"? ». And dissension arose among the people about him.

Some of them wanted arrest him, but no one got their hands on him. The guards then returned to the chief priests and the Pharisees, and they said to them, "Why didn't you bring him here?" The guards replied: "Never has a man spoken like that!" But the Pharisees replied to them: "Did you also allow yourselves to be deceived?" Did any of the rulers or Pharisees believe in him? But these people, who don't know the Law, are cursed! ».

Allora Nicodemus, which he had previously gone from Jesus, and he was one of them, he said, "Does our Law judge a man before it hears him and knows what he is doing?" They said to him, "Are you also from Galilee?" Study, and you will see that a prophet does not arise from Galilee! ». And each went back to his home.
