Gospel of December 1, 2018

Revelation 22,1-7.
The angel of the Lord showed me, John, a river of living water as clear as crystal, which flowed from the throne of God and the Lamb.
In the middle of the town square and on either side of the river there is a tree of life that gives twelve crops and produces fruit every month; the leaves of the tree serve to heal the nations.
And there will be no more curse. The throne of God and the Lamb will be in her midst and her servants will worship him;
they will see his face and bear his name on his forehead.
There will be no more night and they will no longer need lamp light, nor sun light, because the Lord God will illuminate them and they will reign forever and ever.
Then he said to me: “These words are certain and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what is to happen shortly.
Here, I will come soon. Blessed are those who keep the prophetic words of this book ”.

Salmi 95(94),1-2.3-5.6-7.
Come, we applaud the Lord,
we cheer on the rock of our salvation.
Let's go to him to give him thanks,
we cheer him with songs of joy.

Great God is the Lord, great king above all gods.
In his hand are the abysses of the earth,
the peaks of the mountains are his.
His is the sea, he made it,
his hands have shaped the earth.

Come, prostrati we adore,
kneeling before the Lord who created us.
He is our God, and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock he leads.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 21,34-36.
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: «Be careful that your hearts are not weighed down in dissipations, drunkenness and worries of life and that on that day they do not come upon you suddenly;
like a snare it will fall upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth.
Watch and pray at all times, so that you may have the strength to escape everything that has to happen, and to appear before the Son of man ».
