Gospel of 11 March 2019

Book of Leviticus 19,1-2.11-18.
The Lord spoke to Moses and said:
“Speak to the whole community of the Israelites and order them: Be holy, because I, the Lord, your God, am holy.
You will not steal or use deception or lie to the detriment of each other.
You will not swear falsehood by using my name; because you would desecrate the name of your God. I am the Lord.
You will not oppress your neighbor, nor will you strip him of what is his; the salary of the laborer at your service does not remain the night with you until the next morning.
Thou shalt not despise the deaf, nor stumble before the blind man, but fear thy God. I am the Lord.
You will not do injustice in court; you will not treat the poor partially, nor will you use preferences towards the powerful; but you will judge your neighbor with justice.
You will not go around spreading slander among your people or cooperate in the death of your neighbor. I am the Lord.
You did not cover in your heart hatred against your brother; openly rebuke your neighbor, so you will not take on a sin for him.
You will not take revenge or hold grudges against the children of your people, but you will love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

Psalms 19 (18), 8.9.10.15.
The law of the Lord is perfect,
refreshes the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is true,
it makes the simple wise.

The orders of the Lord are righteous,
they make the heart rejoice;
the commands of the Lord are clear,
give light to the eyes.

The fear of the Lord is pure, it always lasts;
the judgments of the Lord are all faithful and just
more precious than gold.

You like the words of my mouth,
before you the thoughts of my heart.
Lord, my cliff and my redeemer.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 25,31-46.
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: «When the Son of man comes in his glory with all his angels, he will sit on the throne of his glory.
And all nations shall be gathered before him, and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,
and he will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Then the king will say to those on his right: Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
Because I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you dressed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me.
Then the righteous will answer him: Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink?
When did we see you as a stranger and we hosted you, or naked and we dressed you?
And when did we see you sick or in jail and visit you?
In reply, the king will say to them: Truly I say to you, every time you have done these things to one of these younger brothers of mine, you have done it to me.
Then he will say to those on his left: Away, far from me, cursed, in the eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.
Because I was hungry and you didn't give me food; I was thirsty and you did not give me to drink;
I was a stranger and you didn't host me, naked and you didn't dress me, sick and in prison and you didn't visit me.
Then they too will answer: Lord, when have we ever seen you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and we have not assisted you?
But he will answer: Verily I say to you, every time you have not done these things to one of these younger brothers of mine, you have not done it to me.
And they will go, these to the eternal torture, and the just ones to the eternal life ».
