Gospel of 8st October 2018

Letter of St. Paul the Apostle to Galatians 1,6: 12-XNUMX.
Brethren, I marvel that so quickly from the one who called you with the grace of Christ you move on to another gospel.
In reality, however, there is not another; only that there are some who upset you and want to subvert the gospel of Christ.
Now, if even we or an angel from heaven preached to you a different gospel from what we preached to you, be anathema!
We have already said it and now I repeat it: if someone preaches to you a different gospel from what you have received, be anathema!
In fact, is it the favor of men that I intend to earn, or rather that of God? Or do I try to please men? If I still liked men, I would no longer be a servant of Christ!
Therefore, brothers, I declare to you that the gospel I proclaimed is not modeled on man;
in fact, I did not receive it or learn it from men, but by revelation of Jesus Christ.

Salmi 111(110),1-2.7-8.9.10c.
I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart,
in the assembly of the just and in the assembly.
Great works of the Lord,
let those who love them contemplate them.

The works of his hands are truth and justice,
all his commands are stable,
unchanging forever, forever,
performed with fidelity and righteousness.

He sent to free his people,
established his covenant forever.
His name is holy and terrible.
The principle of wisdom is the fear of the Lord,
wise is he who is faithful to him;

the praise of the Lord is endless.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 10,25-37.
At that time, a lawyer stood up to test Jesus: "Master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?".
Jesus said to him, "What is written in the law? What do you read? "
He replied: "You will love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind and your neighbor as yourself."
And Jesus: «You have answered well; do this and you will live. "
But he wanted to justify himself and said to Jesus: "And who is my neighbor?"
Jesus continued: «A man came down from Jerusalem to Jericho and stumbled upon the robbers who stripped him, beat him and then left, leaving him half dead.
By chance, a priest went down that same road and when he saw him he passed on the other side.
Even a Levite, who came to that place, saw him and passed by.
Instead a Samaritan, who was traveling, passing by saw him and felt sorry for him.
He came up to him, bandaged his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; then, loading him on his garment, he took him to an inn and took care of him.
The following day, he took out two denarii and gave them to the hotelier, saying: Take care of him and what you will spend more, I will refund you on my return.
Which of these three do you think was the neighbor of the one who stumbled upon the brigands? ».
He replied, "Who took pity on him." Jesus said to him, "Go and do the same as well."
