Today's Gospel 11 November 2020 with the words of Pope Francis

READING OF THE DAY
From the letter of St Paul the apostle to Titus

Dearest, remind [everyone] to be submissive to the governing authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work; not to speak ill of anyone, to avoid quarrels, to be meek, showing all meekness towards all men.
We too were once foolish, disobedient, corrupt, slaves to all sorts of passions and pleasures, living in wickedness and envy, hateful and hating each other.
But when the goodness of God, our Savior, appeared,
and his love for men,
he saved us,
not for righteous works we have done,
but by his mercy,
with a water that regenerates and renews in the Holy Spirit,
that God has poured out upon us in abundance
through Jesus Christ, our Savior,
so that, justified by his grace,
we became, in hope, heirs of eternal life.

GOSPEL OF THE DAY
From the Gospel according to Luke
Lc 17,11-19

On the way to Jerusalem, Jesus passed through Samaria and Galilee.

Entering a village, ten lepers met him, stopped at a distance and said aloud: "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" As soon as he saw them, Jesus said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were purified.
One of them, seeing himself healed, went back praising God with a loud voice, and prostrated himself before Jesus, at his feet, to thank him. He was a Samaritan.
But Jesus observed: “Were not ten purified? And where are the other nine? Was no one found who came back to give glory to God, except this stranger? ». And he said to him, "Get up and go; your faith has saved you! ».

WORDS OF THE HOLY FATHER
Knowing how to thank, know how to praise for what the Lord does for us, how important it is! And then we can ask ourselves: are we capable of saying thank you? How many times do we say thank you in the family, in the community, in the Church? How many times do we say thank you to those who help us, to those close to us, to those who accompany us in life? We often take everything for granted! And this also happens with God. It is easy to go to the Lord to ask for something, but return to thank him… (Pope Francis, Homily for the Marian Jubilee of 9 October 2016)
