Today's Gospel March 2 2020 with comment

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 25,31-46.
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: «When the Son of man comes in his glory with all his angels, he will sit on the throne of his glory.
And all nations shall be gathered before him, and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,
and he will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Then the king will say to those on his right: Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
Because I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you dressed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me.
Then the righteous will answer him: Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink?
When did we see you as a stranger and we hosted you, or naked and we dressed you?
And when did we see you sick or in jail and visit you?
In reply, the king will say to them: Truly I say to you, every time you have done these things to one of these younger brothers of mine, you have done it to me.
Then he will say to those on his left: Away, far from me, cursed, in the eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.
Because I was hungry and you didn't give me food; I was thirsty and you did not give me to drink;
I was a stranger and you didn't host me, naked and you didn't dress me, sick and in prison and you didn't visit me.
Then they too will answer: Lord, when have we ever seen you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and we have not assisted you?
But he will answer: Verily I say to you, every time you have not done these things to one of these younger brothers of mine, you have not done it to me.
And they will go, these to the eternal torture, and the just ones to the eternal life ».

Centuries I-IV
On the day of judgment
With the measure you use to measure everything according to your body, you will be measured by God (cf Mt 7,2).

The works of divine judgments are the right remuneration for what has been done by the body. (...)

Christ gives just remuneration to the living and the dead, and to the actions of each. (...)

Consciousness is a true master. Whoever obeys them is always protected from every false step. (...)

The Kingdom of God is goodness and wisdom. Whoever discovered them is a citizen of heaven (cf. Phil 3,20:XNUMX). (...)

Terrible reviews await the hard of heart. Since without great pains, they do not accept to sweeten. (...)

Fight to the death for the commandments of Christ. For, purified by them, you will enter life. (...)

Whoever made himself like God through the goodness of wisdom, power and justice is the son of God. (...)

On the day of Judgment God will ask us for words, works and thoughts. (...)

God is eternal, endless, limitless, and has promised eternal, endless, ineffable goods to those who listen to him.
