Today's Gospel November 21, 2020 with the words of Pope Francis

READING OF THE DAY
From the book of the prophet Zaccaria
Zc 2,14: 17-XNUMX

Rejoice, rejoice, daughter of Zion,
for, behold, I am coming to dwell among you.
Oracle of the Lord.

Numerous nations will adhere to the Lord on that day
and they will become his people,
and he will dwell in your midst
and you will know that the Lord of hosts
sent me to you.

The Lord will take Judas
as an inheritance in the holy land
and will elect Jerusalem again.

Keep every mortal silent before the Lord,
for he has awakened from his holy abode.

GOSPEL OF THE DAY
From the Gospel according to Matthew
Mt 12,46-50

At that time, while Jesus was still speaking to the crowd, behold, his mother and brothers were standing outside and trying to speak to him.
Someone said to him, "Look, your mother and your brothers are standing outside and trying to talk to you."
And he, answering those who spoke to him, said, "Who is my mother and who are my brothers?". Then, extending his hand to his disciples, he said: «Here are my mother and my brothers! Because whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is brother, sister and mother to me. "

WORDS OF THE HOLY FATHER
But Jesus kept talking to the people and he loved the people and he loved the crowd, to the point that he says 'these who follow me, that immense crowd, are my mother and my brothers, they are these'. And he explains: 'those who hear the Word of God put it into practice'. These are the two conditions for following Jesus: listening to the Word of God and putting it into practice. This is the Christian life, nothing more. Simple, simple. Perhaps we have made it a bit difficult, with so many explanations that no one understands, but the Christian life is like this: listening to the Word of God and practicing it ”.
