Today's Gospel 25 December 2019: Holy Christmas

Book of Isaiah 52,7-10.
How beautiful in the mountains are the feet of the messenger of happy announcements who proclaim peace, messenger of good who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion: "Reign your God".
Do you hear? Your sentries raise their voices, together they cry out for joy, for they see with their eyes the return of the Lord to Zion.
Break out together in songs of joy, ruins of Jerusalem, because the Lord has consoled his people, has redeemed Jerusalem.
The Lord bared his holy arm before all peoples; all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.

Salmi 98(97),1.2-3ab.3cd-4.5-6.
Sing a new song to the Lord,
because he has performed wonders.
His right hand gave him victory
and his holy arm.

The Lord has manifested his salvation,
in the eyes of peoples he has revealed his justice.
He remembered his love,
of his loyalty to the house of Israel.

All the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
Acclaim the whole earth to the Lord,
shout, rejoice with songs of joy.

Sing hymns to the Lord with the harp,
with the harp and with melodious sound;
with the trumpet and the sound of the horn
cheer before the king, the Lord.

Letter to the Hebrews 1,1-6.
God, who had already spoken in ancient times many times and in different ways to fathers through the prophets, lately,
in these days, he spoke to us through the Son, who constituted heir of all things and through whom he also made the world.
This Son, who is the irradiation of his glory and the imprint of his substance and sustains everything with the power of his word, after having performed the purification of sins, sat down at the right hand of majesty in the highest heaven,
and he has become as superior to angels as more excellent than theirs is the name he inherited.
For to which of the angels did God ever say: "You are my son; Did I begot you today? And again: I will be his father and he will be my son »?
And again, when he introduces the first-born into the world, he says: "Let all the angels of God worship him."

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to John 1,1: 18-XNUMX.
In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God:
everything was done through him, and without him nothing was made of everything that exists.
In him was life and life was the light of men;
the light shines in the darkness, but the darkness did not welcome it.
A man sent by God came and his name was John.
He came as a witness to bear witness to the light, so that everyone would believe through him.
He was not the light, but was to bear witness to the light.
The true light that illuminates every man came into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not recognize him.
He came among his people, but his people did not welcome him.
But to those who accepted him, he gave power to become children of God: to those who believe in his name,
which were not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but by God they were generated.
And the Word became flesh and came to dwell among us; and we saw his glory, glory as only begotten by the Father, full of grace and truth.
John testifies and cries out to him: "Here is the man of whom I said: He who comes after me has passed me by, because he was before me."
From its fullness we have all received and grace upon grace.
Because the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
No one has ever seen God: just the only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he revealed it.
