Today's Gospel October 28, 2020 with the words of Pope Francis

READING OF THE DAY
From the letter of Saint Paul the Apostle to the Ephesians
Eph 2,19: 22-XNUMX

Brothers, you are no longer foreigners or guests, but you are fellow citizens of the saints and relatives of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, having Christ Jesus himself as the corner stone.
In him the whole building grows well ordered to be a holy temple in the Lord; in him you too are built together to become God's dwelling through the Spirit.

GOSPEL OF THE DAY
From the Gospel according to Luke
Lc 6,12-19

In those days, Jesus went up the mountain to pray and spent the whole night praying to God. When it was day, he called his disciples to himself and chose twelve, to whom he also gave the name of apostles: Simon, to whom he also gave the name of Peter; Andrea, his brother; Giacomo, Giovanni, Filippo, Bartolomeo, Matteo, Tommaso; Giacomo, son of Alfeo; Simone, called Zelota; Judas, son of James; and Judas Iscariot, who became the traitor.
Descended with them, he stopped in a flat place.
There was a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem and from the coast of Tire and Sidon, who had come to listen to him and be healed of their diseases; even those who were tormented by unclean spirits were healed. The whole crowd tried to touch him, because from him came a strength that healed everyone.

WORDS OF THE HOLY FATHER
Preaching and healing: this is Jesus' main activity in his public life. With his preaching he announces the Kingdom of God and with the healings he shows that it is near, that the Kingdom of God is among us. Having come to earth to announce and bring about the salvation of the whole man and of all men, Jesus shows a particular predilection for those who are wounded in body and spirit: the poor, sinners, the possessed, the sick, the marginalized. . Thus he reveals himself to be the doctor of both souls and bodies, the good Samaritan of man. He is the true Savior: Jesus saves, Jesus heals, Jesus heals. (ANGELUS, February 8, 2015
