Gospel and Saint of the day: 11 December 2019

Book of Isaiah 40,25-31.
"Who could you almost compare me to being equal?" says the Saint.
Lift up your eyes and look: who created those stars? He brings out their army in precise numbers and calls them all by name; because of his omnipotence and the strength of his strength, none are missing.
Why do you say, Jacob, and you, Israel, repeat: "My fate is hidden from the Lord and my right is neglected by my God?".
Don't you know? Haven't you heard it? Eternal God is the Lord, creator of all the earth. He does not tire or get tired, his intelligence is inscrutable.
He strengthens the weary and multiplies the strength of the weary.
Even young people struggle and get tired, adults stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord regain strength, put on wings like eagles, run without struggling, walk without getting tired.

Salmi 103(102),1-2.3-4.8.10.
Bless the Lord, my soul,
how blessed is his holy name in me.
Bless the Lord, my soul,
do not forget many of its benefits.

He forgives all your faults,
heals all your diseases;
save your life from the pit,
crowns you with grace and mercy.

The Lord is good and pitiful,
slow to anger and great in love.
He does not treat us according to our sins,
it does not repay us according to our sins.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 11,28-30.
At that time, Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are fatigued and oppressed, and I will refresh you.
Take my yoke above you and learn from me, who am mild and humble in heart, and you will find refreshment for your souls.
In fact, my yoke is sweet and my load light ».
