Gospel and Saint of the day: 7 December 2019

Book of Isaiah 30,19-21.23-26.
Thus says the Lord God of Israel:
People of Zion who live in Jerusalem, you will no longer have to cry; to your cry of supplication he will give you grace; as soon as he hears, he will answer you.
Even if the Lord will give you the bread of affliction and the water of tribulation, your master will no longer be hidden; your eyes will see your master,
your ears will hear this word behind you: "This is the way, walk it", in case you never go left or right.
Then he will grant rain for the seed which you sow in the ground; the bread, product of the earth, will be abundant and substantial; on that day your cattle will graze on a vast meadow.
The oxen and donkeys that work the earth will eat tasty biada, ventilated with the shovel and with the sieve.
On each mountain and on each elevated hill, canals and streams of water will flow on the day of the great massacre, when the towers will fall.
The light of the moon will be like the light of the sun and the light of the sun will be seven times more, when the Lord heals the plague of his people and heals the bruises produced by his beatings.

Salmi 147(146),1-2.3-4.5-6.
Praise the Lord:
it's nice to sing to our God,
it is sweet to praise him as it suits him.
The Lord rebuilds Jerusalem,
gathers the missing of Israel.

The Lord heals broken hearts
and wraps their wounds;
he counts the number of stars
and call each by name.

Great is the Lord, almighty,
his wisdom has no boundaries.
The Lord supports the humble
but lower the wicked to the ground.

From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 9,35-38.10,1.6-8.
At that time, Jesus traveled through all cities and villages, teaching in synagogues, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom and treating every disease and infirmity.
Seeing the crowds, he felt sorry for them, because they were tired and exhausted, like sheep without a shepherd.
Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is great, but the workers are few!"
Therefore pray the master of the harvest to send workers into his harvest! ».
Calling the twelve disciples to himself, he gave them the power to drive out unclean spirits and heal all sorts of diseases and infirmities.
rather turn to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
And on the way, preach that the kingdom of heaven is near. "
Heal the sick, raise the dead, heal lepers, drive out demons. For free you have received, for free you give ».
