Gospel, Saint, prayer of November 17st

Today's Gospel
From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 17,26-37.
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: «As it happened in the time of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of man:
they ate, drank, married and married, until the day when Noah entered the ark and the flood came and killed them all.
As happened also in the time of Lot: they ate, drank, bought, sold, planted, built;
but on the day Lot came out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and killed them all.
So it will be on the day when the Son of man is revealed.
On that day, whoever is on the terrace, if his belongings are at home, do not go down to get them; so whoever is in the field, don't go back.
Remember Lot's wife.
Whoever tries to save his life will lose it, whoever loses it will save it.
I tell you: on that night two will find themselves in a bed: one will be taken and the other left;
two women are going to grind in the same place:
one will be taken and the other left. "
Then the disciples asked him, "Where, Lord?" And he said to them, "Where the corpse will be, the vultures will also gather there."

Saint of today - SAINT ELIZABETH OF HUNGARY
O Elizabeth,
young and holy,
bride, mother and queen,
voluntarily poor in goods,
You have been,
in the footsteps of Francis,
firstfruits of those called
to live by God in the world
to enrich it with peace, with justice
and love for the dispossessed and the excluded.
The testimony of your life
remains as light for Europe
to follow the paths of true good
of every man and of all men.
Please implore us
from the Incarnate and Crucified Christ,
to which you have faithfully conformed,
intelligence, courage, industriousness and credibility,
like real builders
of the kingdom of God in the world.
Amen
