Holy Gospel, prayer of February 5

Today's Gospel
From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 6,53-56.
At that time, Jesus and his disciples, having completed the crossing, landed and took land in Genèsaret.
As soon as they got off the boat, people recognized him,
and rushing from all over that region they began to bring those who were ill on the beds, wherever they heard he was.
And wherever he went, in villages or cities or in the countryside, they placed the sick in the squares and asked him to be able to touch at least the fringe of his cloak; and those who touched him healed.

Saint of today - SANT'AGATA
O glorious Saint Agatha, who in order not to betray the sworn faith in Jesus,
you generously despised all the offerings of the Quinzian governor when
he sought you in marriage and courageously protested that he wanted to suffer all the torments
instead of denying your faith, do that interest and respect
human do not lead us to violate our holy purposes. You who knew how to keep yourselves
immaculate amidst the most dangerous and violent temptations, obtain us from the Lord
the grace to always bravely resist the assaults of the devil and do that
we always boast of being followers of the Crucifix, willing to suffer even the
death rather than offend him in the least. So be it

Ejaculatory of the day
