Gospel, Saint, prayers of December 13th

Today's Gospel
From the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 11,28-30.
At that time, Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are fatigued and oppressed, and I will refresh you.
Take my yoke above you and learn from me, who am mild and humble in heart, and you will find refreshment for your souls.
In fact, my yoke is sweet and my load light ».

Saint of today - SAINT LUCIA
O glorious Saint Lucia, You who have lived the hard experience of persecution,
you obtain from the Lord, to remove from the hearts of men all purpose of violence and revenge.
It gives consolation to our sick brothers who with their illness share the experience of the passion of Christ.
Let the young people see in you that you have offered yourselves entirely to the Lord, the model of a faith that gives orientation to all life.
Oh virgin martyr, to celebrate your birth in heaven, both for us and for our everyday history, an event of grace, of industrious fraternal charity, of a more lively hope and a more authentic faith. Amen

Ejaculatory of the day

O Holy Virgin, let me praise you; give me strength against my enemies.
