Bible verses on self-esteem

In fact, the Bible has a lot to say about self-confidence, self-esteem and self-respect. The good book informs us that self-esteem is given to us by God. It provides us with the strength and everything we need to live a divine life.

When we are looking for direction, it helps to know who we are in Christ. With this knowledge, God gives us the security we need to walk the path he has given us.

As we grow in faith, our trust in God grows. He is always there for us. It is our strength, our shield and our help. Getting closer to God means increasing confidence in our beliefs.

Versions cited include: Contemporary English Version (CEV), English Standard Version (ESV), King James Version (KJV), New American Standard Bible (NASB), New International Version (NIV), New King James Version (NKJV) and New Living translation (NLT).
