Vittorio Micheli the miracle number 63 of Lourdes

It all began in March 1962, when Vittorio Micheli he was in his fifth month of military service. On April 16 he was admitted to the military hospital in Verona because something was wrong in his left leg. That day the report was terrifying: osteosarcoma with destruction of half the pelvis, a degenerative and incurable tumor.

The diagnosis

In June of 1962 the man was transferred to the Borgo Valsugana cancer center. Months passed and the tumor expanded, eventually destroying the nerves and the head of the femur. The leg now remained attached to the trunk simply by soft parts. At that point the doctors decided to practice a complete cast of the pelvis and leg.

It was May of 1963 when Vittorio Micheli was persuaded by a nun from the military hospital to take part in a pilgrimage to Lourdes. Vittorio was lowered that day, completely plastered into the swimming pool Massabielle cave.

Back in the military hospital, the man noticed that his health seemed to improve, he had regained the appetite he had lost for some time.

In 1964 the young soldier was transferred to the hospital Borgo Valsugana to allow him to get closer to his family. The night before the transfer, the doctors removed the upper part of the cast. During the night, Vittorio, who had remained motionless in bed for years, got up to go to the bathroom. He was completely healed.

The healing of Vittorio Micheli

After a meticulous investigation lasted 13 years and performed in parallel by the ecclesiastical authorities and medical scientific investigations, the conclusion was reached that the disease was real and incurable and the healing has no medical explanation.

That pilgrimage, even reluctantly made, had completely changed Vittorio Micheli's fate, restoring not only his health, but the life that otherwise he would have lost shortly thereafter.

The man recovered inexplicably and the tumor never recurred. Vittorio married 8 years after his recovery and on his honeymoon he wanted to accompany, together with his wife, sick pilgrims to Lourdes. Only on that occasion did she learn that the man had been miraculously healed eight years earlier.

Today the man turned 80 and is the miraculous number 63 of Lourdes.
