She wants to welcome Jesus into her heart but her husband throws her out of the house

It all started 5 months ago, when Rubina, 37, began studying Bible studies in a small church in the southwest of the Bangladesh.

Rubina wanted more than anything else to receive Jesus in her heart. So one Sunday she ran home to tell her husband about this wonderful God called Jesus and tell him that he wanted to follow him. But the man, an inveterate Muslim, was not at all convinced by Rubina's testimony.

In a violent rage, her husband began to beat her, severely injuring her. He ordered her never to go to church again and forbade her to study the Bible. But Rubina could not give up on her research: she knew that Jesus was real and she wanted to know more about him. He started sneaking out to go to church. But her husband noticed and beat her again, forbidding her to continue following Jesus.

Faced with his wife's perseverance, the man ended up making a radical decision. She verbally divorced last June, as permitted by Islamic law. He then chased Rubina out, forbidding her to return. The young woman and her 18-year-old daughter, Shalma (pseudonym), had to leave their home and Rubina's parents refused to come to her aid.

Rubina and Shalma were able to count on their new family and are currently in the house of a Christian in the village. A few days ago the Porte Operte association supplied basic foodstuffs such as rice, cooking oil, soap, legumes and potatoes.
