The pilgrimage to Lourdes helps Roberta accept her daughter's diagnosis

Today we want to tell you the story of Roberta Petrarolo. The woman lived a hard life, sacrificing her dreams to help her family and working with love as a clerk in a pastry shop. However, when love came into her life in the form of her daughter Silvia, a new chapter opened for her.

The first months with Silvia they weren't easy. From an early age, the little girl showed signs of motor problems and the final diagnosis of a brain damage has cast a shadow on Roberta's family. However, despite the fear and uncertainty, Roberta and her husband continued to follow the necessary therapies and checks to help their daughter.

Silvia's story led Roberta to a pilgrimage to Loreto, where he had an encounter that changed his perspective. A priest made her reflect on how to look at her little girl with eyes of love and trust, inviting her to ask the Madonna for help. This moment of introspection led Roberta to greater serenity and confidence in her journey with Silvia.

Furthermore, Roberta is involved in an association called “The Red Pomegranate“, which offers support and activities for special children like Silvia. This has given the woman a community of sharing mothers same challenges and the moments of joy in raising special children.
